SOME STOCKS AT DISCOUNT BROKER PUT ON RESTRICTED LIST FOR UNSPECIFIED REASONS

Astoria Heights, New York
Some discount brokers may put restrictions on some equities from time to time. Some could be on the list for a very long. The troublesome thing about this is that the brokers and reps have no real explanation for this. A restriction unallows an internet to put a buy order on line forcing the investor to call the broker and do it via phone. With Trimedyne ( TMED ) being on the restricted list for a very long time we decided to analyze the situation. Trimedyne has released their quarterly reports on a regular basis just like most other companies do. They have a small loss eroding their balance sheet slowly just like many other companies do. The shares are traded on the bulletin board but also dually on the pinks. A look at news and there may be a pending settlement or litigation going. When compared to many other companies, Trimedyne is in better position than many others that are not on the restricted list. So the question arises again: Why is Trimedyne is singled out? " I don't know why companies like Genta trade freely and not Trimedyne. Can you trust your discount broker or is it a matter of preference for them to persuade indirectly some people not to buy into a particular stock? I wished I had an answer. Only TD Ameritrade should have one, but then who at TD Ameritrade? " finalized FPG.
